Small parts can offer significant challenges for the deburring and finishing operations of many manufacturers. Centrifugal Iso-Finishing is used to develop fine finishes across a wide spectrum of small parts from various industries. The processes minimize or eliminate hand-work and are capable to developing very fine finishes that rival hand polishing. ABOVE: See the Model HZ-12 machine in operation. This compact 110 volt machine, when equipped with the optional roller stand can be easily moved within the plant from location to location as needed. It is heavily utilized in the dental industry for fine finishing and polishing of dental parts and implants, and is used for polishing of jewelry and small screw machine parts as well.
ABOVE: This video shows operations of the HZ-40 machine which has been long a staple of the production jewelry and small part industries. Many manufacturers of both plastic and metal 3D printed parts use this machine for their post-processing needs for surface finishing and polishing
The Model HZ-60 is more of a full-scale industrial production machine with many material handling features not found in the smaller models. Among these are integrated part separation and handling, as well as the ability to run higher volumes of parts in their own segregated compartments or pockets, thus eliminating any possibility of part damage from in-process part on part contact or collision.
See below some of the small part applications which are supported by this type of high-speed mass finish processing. The machines can effectively utilize much smaller dimensional abrasive and polishing media shapes than conventional finishing equipment. This means they are much better at deburring, smoothing and polishing intricate geometries than conventional low energy mass finishing equipment.
